COME IN, LITTLE FRIEND!

I'm Indi and I discovered at a Pediatric Optometry appointment that I needed to wear glasses. Oh no! I was going to be the "four eyes" of the class! But then I realized that my vision problem, because it had been detected early, could be corrected. And later, when my new glasses arrived — with a modern frame in my favorite color — I completely changed my mind! I stopped feeling small and started seeing certain things, right here close by or far away, out of my reach. . And then, I started to feel more beautiful and intelligent, and most importantly, with better visual health. Without glasses I couldn't really see you, but now I see that... you really do look cool!

Did you know...

..are visual needs in children common?

- About 1 in 17 preschool-aged children and 1 in 4

- School-age children
need to wear glasses to compensate for vision problems.

Without treatment in early childhood, some otherwise reversible conditions can lead to permanent vision loss in adulthood (so-called “lazy eye” - amblyopia). Early identification and consistent treatment are key to success.

Childhood vision changes that are not treated promptly can impair a child's physical and cognitive development and acquisition of learning skills, which has long-term effects on school performance.
